In 1998, John Michell introduced the Gyro SE, a stripped-down version of his venerable Gyrodec model. Coming in at a lower price tag with an almost-equal cool factor, the SE was a hit with audiophiles and critics. It was typically fitted with Rega's RB300 tonearm.
